i think massachusetts is one of the greater music resources pounding out good bands with diversity. so this band is named the mammon machine which is pretty unique and i don't exactly know if it's some kind of political thing or not but the music itself is promising. the band includes former members of shading the end and now with this band we have nice gutturals and gurgles and if you ask me his vocals are really pretty low while the band itself blends some other styles together with fast parts akin to early Aborted and beneath the massacre and beatdowns and slow parts like sect of execration. besides those parts they use a touch of fast and melodic riffs like black metal and it's a nice attempt that other bands don't try and it adds more diversity to the band which is good because the mammon machine is a fairly new band and already is more diverse than your typical slam styled band. so if your seeking new kinds of bands that play a style your familiar with then you'll most likely dig this demo. The Partisan Turbine - Surgical Assault

the band The Partisan Turbine is a pretty new band but the bands name has spread around rapidly due to their heaviness, if i were to describe their sound its along the lines of an ultra heavy beatdown sound. all the instruments sound so solid and clean that you can hear the songs in detail, the guitar sounds are so catchy but don't loose their heaviness and there's tons of blasting parts and beatdown parts that get switched around rapidly. the riffs are so melodic and catchy and the slow parts remind me of waking the cadaver riffs so the partisane turbine reminded me of them on more than one occasion. the vocals are low gutturals and squeals with the squeals taking up most of the vocals so once again another similarity to waking the cadaver. the drum sounds so tight and the sound quality is great especially the double bass which is very accurate and sounds so tough. the band is really promising and one of the bands creating a new style of brutality along with waking the cadaver, they have potential and good taste in the music they play so if you are a big fan of waking the cadaver you'll love this band for sure. to be honest,i really waited for this band to release their stuff and
they actually didnt let me down.so they sound killer for sure.if you
like another italian band stench of dismemberment, youll like it. so they basically play techy riffs remind me of disgorge as well as some italian bands love this way.not only for that, the band has cool grooves just like dying fetus and their occasional slams and breakdowns remind me of the god devourment. vocals are pretty lows and i just compare vocals with brian of gutrot. so tools of torture reminds me alot of stench of dismemberment which plays kinda like mix of disgorge and devourment.i really dig their sound alot. the band logo was done by mike majewski and it looks so sick.maybe its one of his masterpieces.to sum it all up,tools of torture is for both fans of disgorge styled bands and devourment styled ones. this band shows how italian bands have higher standard to this kinda music.give it a try. I was just looking for new kinds of bands, and I found this band from New York named Trachetomy. The name reminds me of some "......tomy" bands like orchidectomy, glossectomy haha. The band includes only two guys and the band itself only started recently. They program all instruments and put human gutturals(I hope machine voices don't exist still haha)!!! They call their music "downtuned programmed slamage"!!!!! I've not heard this kind of a band ever. Perfectly new style, and yeah guitar is so downtuned and always slams with heavy breakdowns. The vocals are low gutturals with hysterious backing vocals. This contrast of vocals are nice and the music itself is so simple but every time there are continuous slams going on and on and making me mad haha. The band is really flooded with mechanic and cold moods!!!! So when they record more programmed slam styled songs, maybe opinions will be divided on if I love the band or not. I just wanna say trachetomy is cool !!!!!!!! Seiji |
