Pedestrian Kadaver - Demo

Links:
Myspace Website
this band hails from canada which has produced other bands such as anal bleeding and orchidectomy. Pedestrian Kadaver's music is very similar to putrid pile and actually covered one of putrid's songs called "merciless homicide". they mainly play middle and slow parts and sometimes fast oriented parts, on their track "fecalized at birth" some of the riffs reminded me of vomit remnants slams and overall the riffs and slams are catchy. the vocals are low and occasional squeals and gutturals that sometimes remind me of the former vocalist of vomit remnants and again just like putrid pile this band uses a drum machine.

their sound is like a mix of putrid pile and vomit remnants so it's good stuff for sure. if you love putrid pile, naturally you'll enjoy this band.

Plerosis - Gurgle Gag Panishment

i'm a huge fan of dyscrasia and as everyone knows plerosis is a one man band done by neil from dyscrasia and i been waiting for this release for a long time personally. i really expected to hear dyscrasia's sound in plerosis and of course plerosis inherits dyscrasia's sickness so the band has the middle and slow parts you'd expect with the guitar sounds being heavy, chuggy, and chunky riffs that really slam. sometimes some melodic riffs show up but after them the heavy slams show up, the riffs neil creates don't bore you he always uses different patterns as far as his slams go and yeah there's tons of heavy breakdowns that will remind you of devourment.

what impacts the most is his vocals, his gurgles and gutturals are really deep and low and he switches between them constantly. he shows why he is one of the lowest vocalists out there and i can't compare his vocals with others cause his are perfect and original. and as for the drum machine he does a good job for what it's worth and it doesn't harm the band in anyway it fits in with everything else pretty good.

to sum it all up if you are fan of dyscrasia you must check this out. neil's music skills have progressed he has evolved dyscrasia's sound to a whole new level that other bands cant emulate. this is a tape release that is limited to only 91 copies so if you can get your hands on this your lucky cause this is going to be one of the best releases this year.

Postmortem Disembowelmemt - Demo

Links:
Myspace Website
the band is based out of north carolina that has some good bands such as lust of decay, putrefying cadaverment, atrocious abnormality and etc.this is pretty new band but one of good bands there for sure. the band has many beatdown parts and they use squeals style vocals that sound 'ree-ree'.but vox is not just squeals but thats the blend of gurgles and squeals.and theres some fast paced parts that are kind of razor shaped riffs.

this is only one song and its tough to say all about the band.but the band has nice sense to the music .i really feel that when i heard a song at first time. the music approach is differnt from bands i mentioned above.i mean the band take new school style one thats way using beatdowns and squeals as well but they draw lines between recent emo bands pollute the scene.postmortem disembowelment take some influences from brutal death meatl bands for sure and they show that through their music.

to sum it all up,the band is pretty sick and should be recognized as one of good DM bands from north carolina.try to give it a listen.

Projectile Disembowelment - Demo Eruption '05

What we have here is the one man project from none other than Arif-(Flesh Disgorged vocalist.) From Singapore. This demo is about as chunky as it gets. Don't even bother looking this band up if you're expecting technical guitaring with understandable vocals. This isn't top priority here, sorry! However, if you're someone who puts absolutely overwhealming BRUTALITY FIRST, then this is a band, and the zine for you. But you knew that. That's why you're here, so on to this killer demo you fuck!

Track titles include wonderful imagery. Paraphilia, Intentional Prostatic Eruption, Perverse Actus Reus, Organ-ised Dismemberment, and the ever-classic Blender Fuck. Each song is packed with nice little samples that will keep you laughing and saying under your breath "What the fuck?!" These samples further add to the imagery to keep you that much more entertained. The music itself is enough. Believe me you'll be giving plenty of fuck yeah's to the plentiful, generous heavy low-end break downs on this shit for all you breakdown/slam fiends. Anyone into drum machines will appreciate the super pounding double bass sound on this recording. The drum machine sounds on this demo all together are some of the best I've heard used for any super brutal act out there, and probably the heaviset sounding as far as bass goes. Of course you can tell it's not real, but it's not horrible. It perfectly matches the riffs for the overall effect and it is a serious one. It will floor you when you hear the first break!

The first couple bands that come to mind when thinking of Projectile Disembowelment's sounds, are bands like Goreopsy, and Retch. This should give you an idea if you're familiar with this drum machine style of the genre. I wouldn't say Projectile Disembowelment takes one imparticular band's influence for their main source of music writing though. I can honestly say that these songs are something new for this style. Only a fan of this style of music can make such I comment, I must let you know. So yes, these songs are barbaric and crude...but at the same time something this scene needs. A swift kick in the balls telling the new-cummers and veterans alike that there needs to be constant heightening of the extremity factor.

As far as a more in-depth description of this demo, I must say that above the many slamming breakdowns sounding like it's comming down on your head, to the pounding double bass and hyperblasting grind parts going on with the drum machine, there is nothing like a good gurgling vocalist to put the icing on the cake for your sick preferrance of listening pleasure. I know what it takes being a vocalist of the genre myself, and man I got some respect for Arif. He pulls off such a great varied ensemble of nasty vocal sounds. I mean, it's not at all the same monotone sound so many people complain about with deathmetal. There are many ranges and gurgle rasps used in his assault. I rellish such a quality.

Proteus - Demo 2005

These guys are from Massachusetts and if you know your history, there are some badass deathmetal bands from the state. These dudes are pretty original. They do some weird timing with their breaks, and they have alot of them. Not at all sounding like the one before. They do tons of hyper tempo changes, which I was very pleased to hear. Tons of harmonics all over the place, too. All over the songs and all over the guitar. The blasting is very crushing. Reminds me of Ricky/Disgorge. He puts in some cool creative beats with the breaks, which I very much appreciate.

These guys are a very different deathmetal band, but in such a good way. Every song isn't the same, but they do stick to a formula which is actually difficult to describe. It is very much their own, that's for sure. The best way I can put it, is drastic extreme changes from vocals, to the pace and sound of every part to each song. They have one vocalist, and he is very talented in the "voices" aspect. He pulls off a very powerful more understandable hollowed shout which reminds me somewhat of Morbid Angel (Blessed/Covenant era), yet I hear some Gorguts as well in those shouts. (There is a song on here that almost sounds like it would be on a new Gorguts record!) Then he comes in with this outrageously low gurgle. Both voices sound fucken' awesome. He makes an impact everytime he switches, and it just sounds really cool cuz I can't say that I've quite heard it before.

You can't go wrong with something that's this original and this brutal. Macabre Mementos is good for signing these awesome, fresh sounding new bands. If you have that certain taste, or better yet, hunger...for something new, brutal as fuck, but truly original, check them out. Seriously, if you can't just settle for a band that sounds like just one or two bands who tons of others idolize, you can't pass Proteus up.

Proud of Grace - No TEARS From DESPAIR

Links:
Band Website
my hometown tokyo has always been producted both slam oriented DM bands and beatdown styled hard core bands as always. this band proud of grace is influenced by both genres and they evolve them to their owns. the band sounds basically beatdowns.their ones are diverse and more sophisticated than typical beatdown parts. and vocals are death core styled ones.but theres occasional guttural backing vocals which are similar to gurgles. this style is so diverse and is tokyo styled new brutality for sure.this style using both death core styled vocals and gutturals remind me of other act from japan one last victim. what a hell this vocals combination is!!

besides beatdowns the band has some melodic and emotional parts that take a break abit in songs.after those parts end, beatdowns go on and on.this hell of slams and beatdowns fuckin rules and makes you going creazy.

and this demo includes some cool guest vocalists they are members of disconformity.if you love disconformity, you recognize shogun's strong gutturals giving you huge impacts for sure.he occasionally spews his gutturals for this demo, thats awesome.

what i can say is that this demo is pretty cool and is new style born from tokyo.needless to say alot,if you like JPDM bands and beatdown styled bands, you should check it out soon.

Putrefying Cadaverment - Demo

Links:
Myspace Website
the band is based out of north carolina and pretty new band there.im sure the band is one of promising bands and they really know what to do for making freaks of this genre pleased.so the band sounds so heavy slamming stuff with ultra low gutturals and gurgles.the band has tons of breakdowns remind me of devourment and disconformity.the guitar riffs are so chuggy as hell.and the band has nice grooves that early lust of decay had.they are really good at using also fast parts as well as slow ones.the combination of both parts work great. after fast ones end.slams and breakdowns start.especially breakdowns kill for sure.as i said, their breakdowns remind me of disconformity alot.to add to that, those are not copy-cat but their own riffs.

and vocals are so lows thats way i really like! they remind me of devourment and vocals perfectly fit the bands total sound.this band is one of bands play real 'guttural slamming brutality'!!!

to sum it all up,if you are fan of devourment, disconformity and lust of decay.you should check the band out.the band has essences other great slam oriented bands have and evolve them to their own sound.and you dont be dissapointed by their sound for sure.

Putridity - Promo

Links:
Myspace Website
This is a release I've really waited for!!! The band putridity from Italy produced some newer sick acts like stench of dismemberment, septycal gorge and etc. Most bands from there have a really technical musick style like disgorge!!! So if you love brutal and technical bands, you must check the recent Italian bands. The bands coming out of there have real potential and are all good quality. Putridity mainly use fast and blasting parts!!! The vokills and blasting parts remind me of enmity!!! They also have technical parts like disgorge and the vokills are ultra low gutturals!!! Also, in my opinion the band mix disgorge and enmity in a really sick way. I think they pick up good points from both bands and create their own colour!!! This is really one of the most promosing bands I've ever heard and I can't wait for their debut cd from despise the sun recs. That release is gonna be sick as fuck for sure. So if you are into other Italian bands like stench of dismemberment then check out this band cus they're gonna be your new fav band
