MINDLY ROTTEN - The Most Exquisite Agonies

This cd totaly surprised me.I had never heard of Mindly Rotten before listening to this cd.These guys are a very good band.I don't think there has ever been a Columbian Death Metal band that I didn't like. These guys blast through this debut full length making sure to leave a mark in the underground scene. This three piece started off in 2003 ,but didn't release their album until 2005.I have never heard a band be this brutal and technical at the same time.If you like Columbian style brutal/technical death metal these guys are going to blow you away.I know I will be listening to this cd for a while."The Most Exquisite Agonies" on Grind Syndrome Records is easily comparable to bands such as Ancient Necropsy,Internal Suffering,Purulent, etc. The guitar work on this shit is off the fucking wall! Mauricio plays ultra brutal fast riffs and just rips into some very good guitar solo's.Duvernan plays his set very well. You can hear every little hit that he makes and he makes sure to utilize every piece of the set playing very hard-to-pull-off beats.Carlos is what makes this band sound brutal baking up the guitar riffs perfectly.Carlos and Mauricio both do vocals on this album creating one of the sickest vocal assaults ever! Both vocalists are very guttural,so all you fans of brutal vocals will love this one.The cover art to this album is something that I just couldn't leave out on this one. It's some of the best I've seen in a very long time.I have never heard of the artist either.George Prasinis.Well,if you like brutal blasting Columbian style death metal make sure to pick up this debut masterpiece by Mindly Rotten. It will make all fans of Ancient Necropsy and Internal Suffering very happy.I hope to see this band cum out to the USA very soon.I think they will be making a lot of new fans if people are exposed to them. There's really nothing to not like about these guys.Brutal shit!!!!

Mortuus - More Gore Than Before

mortuus is pretty new band from indiana, usa.the band members are pretty young.so usa products this kinda good bands just as daily haha.music style they play is so called 'new school' maybe.but thats not all to describe their music.

the band uses both grinding parts and slams freely.both parts are simple and so catchy.as for grinding parts, the band is influenced by cattle decapitation one of the finest grind bands. and slams and breakdowns are so sweet.they play 'zun zun' style slams just remind me abit of digested flesh one of their influence bands.they often use breakdowns as well as slams.the band overall includes slow parts which are their strong points. as i said, the music itself is so simple but so catchy and i feel like listening to their songs many times.

voclas are low gutturals and squeals.those vocals really fit this kind of guttural slamming stuff.those varied vocals remind me of waking the cadaver and yeah especially squeals are similar to dan of waking the cadavers.

the band has catchness and sickness at the same time.songs are easy remembered.but the band has integral essences to this kinda music such as sick vocals, slams, breakdowns and etc.mortuus is one of promising bands for sure.watch out for their future.and in this time listen to their debut stuff 'more gore than before'
