i'm always happy to find new bands from new york cause i've always been a fan of nydm and bands like dehumanized, repudilation, entorturement, internal bleeding and etc and recently i haven't heard something new from NY besides REVENANCE so i was lucky enough to find a new band named LACERATED ENTRAILS and along with revenance there one of the bright new young bands with the energy to bring ny's scene back to it's former glory.

when it comes to their vocals they mainly use gutturals but sometimes they sue other styles like squeals and a bit of inhales thrown in too so the contrast of vocals is very nice and the guitar sounds have a heavy chunky style to them and there's a lot of slow 'zun zun' riffs as well. they also have tons of slams and heavy breakdowns so they sometimes remind me of digested flesh and waking the cadaver but for me most of the riffs are beatdowns in a hardcore style reminiscent of NYHC. this band is one of the better ones out there when it comes to mixing up the essences of hardcore and brutal death metal so if you are into this kind of music then you'll definitely love this band.

First off, I must say I've been a fan of lust of decay since their first debut album. They really blew my mind. This new stuff is their third album and they have released a total of three albums in 4 or 5 years. They show they are active and have been in the center of the scene as always. I feel the band has progressed with sicker material than ever. This new stuff is really top notch and a high level album for sure and they know what they need to do for creating this kind of music.

Music wise, vocals are low gutturals and jays vocals have become more powerful. His vocals maintain the bands total low sound and are really impressive vocals for me. As for guitar sound, Steve plays really complicated riffs and techy ones but not like the California style. So his riffs are so diverse and easy distinguish lust of decay from other bands. He has his own style and the same goes for the drums and bass. Those instruments sound so solid and give the stability to the band. Jordan's technical drumming has lots of tempo changes and many patterns. The double bass is so tight and sounds really heavy. The band brings together sick tempo changes and developments as always. The songs contain grooves, middle and techy parts and etc. There is a good mix of riffs in the songs and they use many patterns of them so you never find yourself getting bored. So you must concentrate to listen to what kind of patterns are coming next. The band is so talented and skilled and they have up with their own sick sound. The band really has changed since first cd, but this change is a natural progression toward a sicker formed style. So get hands on this sick stuff!
