Gorevent - Demo

here's a new comer from my scene of JPDM that's based out of niigata which is probably unknown to my readers cause most japanese bands are from tokyo or osaka but i don't care where they are based out of i'm just grateful there's a new band coming out of there.

so the band includes an ex-rest in gore member and the band has two vocalists which both use low gutturals and one of them uses some occasional inhales and the two combined gutturals are very impressive. it's obvious they are devourment fanatics since they play devourment styled slow riffs and downtuned riffs but the mood they create seems more like JPDM than TXDM, the slams and breakdowns are reminiscent of devourment but they mix TXDM and JPDM like rest in gore does so you should know what to expect from this demo if your a fan of either style of death metal. watch out for this bands next release for it will surely be a monster of slams like most japanese bands releases are.

Gorged After Birth - Demo

this is new sick band from sweden.the country has producted alot of cool talented bands.for sure sweden is one of coolest scene and catches my attensions as always.gorged after birth includes members of sars which is one of newer coolest gore grind bands and has good sense to this kind of music. they have more other projects besides sars so regorged after birth is one of them and they describe the bands sound as txdm brutality.yeah i really feel some essences of txdm but the band is more diverse than bands persuing this style.

first off vocals are so intense and killer.the band uses twin vocals and one is squeals and other one is low guttrals.ive heard many bands using both styled vocals but regorged after birth has more sicker and sewer than others.this combination is sick as hell and i was so stunned by it when i listened it at first.

theres tons of breakdowns remind me devourment the god of heavy breakdown.if you are freaks for it,you are satisfied by their ones. and they play some fast oriented parts which are razor shaped with breakdowns at same time.guitar sound is chuggy and its way i like it.this is swedish sewer style such as vomitous uses. to sum a it all up,this is for sure fans of vomious and some devourment styled bands.gorged after birth is new born band and really promising.check it out soon as well as their main band sars.im sure fan of ID zine love it alot.

Grotesque Formation - Basement Decompositions

how many bands does shawn of viral load and insidious decrepancy actually have??? grotesque formation is another one of his bands but what makes this band different is that he concentrates mostly on the vocals this time. as everyone knows his vocals are really diverse, he uses deep gutturals in grotesque formation but besides gutturals he also does some growls for the band and he tries to mix it up by switching from gutturals to growls and growls to gutturals so it's interesting to hear his combination of different vocals

as for the guitar sound the band uses old school styled grooves but they also have some txdm style breakdowns so it's kind of like old school meets TXDM. the drums sound clear and with that tipped over tin can sound and the rhythm change is so smooth over the drum rolls which are tight and give some stability to the band.

the art and band logo was done by japanese artist toshiro egawa so if you are a fan of his you'll definitely find it hard to take your eyes off the cover art. severed records is really devoted to this kind of UG release so this should become a classic release for the label and the scene in general so if your into any of shawn's other bands and txdm itself don't miss this!

Grymer - Demo

here is pretty new band from uk grymer.the band has some uk beatdown styled hard core bands members.the demo has total two songs they are 'murk o clock' and 'stomp out man'.both tracks are so short but has some points intrest me.totally they play unique styled music and thats what i look for as always.totally they play beatdown parts and straight forword fast and mid-paced parts that shows what kind of bands they are in mainly.but yeah those parts are so cool and also have grinding parts too.they use drum machine its abit simple.but ok it sounds ok for me.and the band logo is so gory and what i really like.

the most impace for me is that they use some varied vocals.i dont know how many vocalists the band has.each vocalists use fiffernt ways like squeals, hard core screams, low gutturals and etc.wow i just noticed they have four voclalists in the band.its awesome!!! youve heard four vocals assault ever?? its awesome haha.

and their influences are txdm and jpdm that make me pleased.they def has their own sound and cant compare it with others.i really love their sound to be honest.with trenchhead they show how uk scene has new thing and bring it to the scene.the band is progressing.im sure their sound is being more killer than now.i really watch out their futures sound.

Guttural Secrete - Reek of Pubescent Despoilment

this is the new cd from guttural secrete that a lot of people have been waiting for. this band put las vegas on the map of death metal with their previous mcd which was excellent and now with this cd they have progressed their sound to a new level. first off they have some grinding parts and some fast and technical parts but they are also melodic and catchy and after the fast parts they suddenly slow down and start groovy parts like slams that are sometimes technical and sometimes just simple beatdown style slams, there's enough tempo changes here to keep you listening and wont let you get bored with any song. the riffs are both complicated and simple and i really love this contrast especially the groovy riffs. riffs range widely from fast ones to slow ones and there all more sophisticated than anything on the previous mcd, nothing but top notch stuff here. blues vocals consist of high and deep gutturals and there really attractive and show why he is one of the better high guttural vocalists out there. as i just said he also uses deep gutturals too and he switches between the two variations freely and often i might add. as for mikes drumming his double bass is like a machine and his blasts are really fast, overall his drumming is very tight and i was surprised because the band has many tempo changes but he plays right alongside everything else rhythmically. i wish i could see these guys play live i hear their show is awesome.

alright so to sum it all up, get this cd! if you love new school styled brutal death bands guttural secrete is one of the best around and this full length proves just that so don't miss out on this cd.
