i found this band after i did the review for postmortal disembowelment.so they are also from north carolina.and they play pretty cool stuff.thats slam styled one. their sound is structured by beatdowns and gutturals and squeals.and theres occasional grinds parts and melodic fast parts.but basically songs have mostly slow parts.and yeah the combination of slams and squeals make good harmony.thats way i like as always. they look like pretty young..they have good taste to this kinda slam stuff.i hope theyll get on new stuff soon.this is one of cool bands coming out of north carolina.if you are a big fan of that states scene, check this band out soon Seiji |
Abacinate – Portrayal Of The Grey Man

new jersey gave me huge present again.so this new band abacinate make me so pleased with their new styled music.im into bands try to do new thing and draw the line between other copy cat bands.for starter,i was so surprised by their modern sound just seems like metal core but they have some brutal death flavor.its new born sound mixing metal core and brutal death in better way.and yeah theres more bands trying to do that way but abacinate is one of coolest bands between them. vocals are so varied and have some patterns.those are gutturals, hard core vocals ,growls and squeals.the vocalist uses them freely.those vocals dont make you bored.especially squeals sound cool.and just thought their squeals remind me abit of waking the cadaver.and actually abacinate is from new jersey and is good friend with WTC. and guitar sound is melodic and metalic too and they use slams and beatdown riffs in them.to add to that, those riffs are diverse and so sophisticated. All songs are so catchy and youll get into them soon after hearing them.really melodic but brutal too.this band has really killer sounding just make freaks of this kinda new styled music pleased.the sound is so promising and mordern.this is new school DM and it rules.ive listened to this stuff many times and dont wanna get it moved from my cd player haha.abacinate shows new styled brutality and you must know that through this stuff. if you love inhuman dissiliency your gonna love this because todd the guitarist of ID is the main man behind this new one man band. he spews gutturals in ID and you can hear his gutturals in this band as well plus he also uses death core styled vocals so he has some nice vocal patterns arrangements that shift between each other pretty smoothly. music wise the guitar riffs are obviously different from what he does in ID, here the riffs are simple but danceable ones and there quite catchy too and there's some slow parts and some mosh parts like hatebreed which gives the sound a death core and beatdown styled mosh core vibe but all is lost has a strong point that other bands don't have and that is his gutturals. the drum machine sounds cool and fits the music nicely and you can tell todd has a really good sense of skill when it comes to creating sick music through ID and all is lost. this band is one of the more promising bands that combines both essences of brutal death and hardcore like embludgeoned (usa) and one last victim so support todd's project here as well as his main band inhuman dissiliency! All Oppression Of The Inner Essence - Demo
![]() Links: Myspace Website |
someone knows disgorge from russia ?(for me its horrible to name the band disgorge haha) a while after i found that band,i recently noticed that band changed the bands name disgorge to current one all oppression of the inner essence. the band sounds abit like metal core and they play some occasional melodic parts too.but yeah they are differnt from them and draw the line between them.the band uses low gutturals which are just like mix of gutturals and squeals.besides that, the band has hard core screams and pure squeals. combination of them work well and i really enjoy to hear some varied vocals showing up randomly at the same time.those vocals assault are cool for sure. as for guitar sound, they use slam and break down riffs and sometimes they use melodic riffs but mainly hard core- like slams and breakdowns.the sound itself is clean and can be heard as well.to add to that, songs are cathy and easy remebered. demo includes total three songs.i guess this band is the first band in russia playing stuff thats mix of hard core and brutal death essences(pig squeals styled one).and i heard they are friend with abnominable putridity playing ultra guttural slamming stuff.i feel russia has varieties to this kinda music now.you like pig squeals styled brutal death, youll like it.try to check it out soon. Anyone remember Purulent and the
awful tragedy that happened in that band?
Well, that band disappeared only to
a couple of years later start up as a new
band featuering some of the ex-members
from Purulent. Compared to Purulent
this is a bit more technical and less primitive,
pretty much better in every aspect that I
could mention, not that Purulent was complete
shit, but A.G. feels more dedicated and
serious (although the bandname is pretty much
some of the lamest ones I've ever heard of hehe). Musically this is nothing new, but its really brutal and straightforward and if you are into bands like Disgorge (USA), Deeds of flesh (but less "melodic") and Enmity, then you should dig this. It has mostly fastpaced part with little room for coffeebreaks and there is a slighty technical feel to some of the riffs. The vocals are probably A.G. best weapon and I hope that they try and keep this guy because he will come in handy hehe. You can definantly hear that this guy have been listening to pretty much everything that Matti Way has done, especially the stuff from Cranial Impalement that in my oppinion, is and always will be Matti Ways best effort. What A.G. needs to work on more is definantly diversity because some of their material tends to sound way too monotomous and unpredictable, its brutal as fuck yeah thats true, but in my oppinion you need to be more than just "br00tal" to impress a listener today, well, at least me. Some of the tracks are a bit too long, like the first track "Chessman red monday" (I got no idea what the meaning behind that title even though I read the lyrics that are could've been written by a five year old) that ranges over 5 minutes and thats even a bit too much for someone like me. On the other hand these guys are good musicians, they got a sick drummer, a really sick vocalist and they got potential. It's just their debut album as well so alot can and will happen for these guys. Oh yeah, I should add that these guys are from Columbia as well and has one of the better recordings that I've heard with a colombian band that I've heard. /Ulf |
Artery Eruption - Gouging Out Eyes Of Mutilated Infants

Well, this is great haha! I get to review my own shit. I'll basicaly do this as a "what to expect" kinda thing. If you've heard our shit before,it's basically the same style but faster and slightly more technical here and there. We went to the same studio where we recorded our last effort-(split with Mangled Atrocity last year.), so it's pretty much that same quality. There is a new element in our vocals. That being Grant's display of crickets. Vocals are split up evenly on this one. There's a sample for every song but the 2nd one, so we're keeping it in the same direction. Track listing is "Scalped, Stimulation In A Rigormortified Whore, Jackhammer Headcrush, Asexual Virgin Killer, Gouging Out Eyes Of Mutilated Infants, Explosion Of A Thick Orange Pourage-like Substance, Inexplicable Scrotal Mutilation, Ripped With Anal Forceps", and a bonus track. Expect even more catchy riffs on this cd than before. Lots of riff switching-up, and plenty change of pace. There's more hyperblasting than ever before, and faster as well than the older material. Don't worry though. We still have breakdowns for the breakdown parts and a shitload of them. Now since I wrote the riffs to all tracks but number three and five, I can tell you my exact musical direction with this shit. I'm always wanting to out-do the brutality put forth on every album of course. So other than that, I am always trying to throw in a bit of hard-to-pull off riffs. Only a few though, I really don't want to turn the direction around. There will always be plenty of tard riffs!!!!!! As far as these so-called "more complex" riffs, they can be found in the first couple parts to the first track, the middle of the fourth and seventh track, and throughout the eighth. That kind of lets you know the percentage of tard riffs haha! There is plenty of complex drumming throughout the entire cd so be prepared for that crazy shit! The bass is clean on this shit. We haven't done that since 2001. There's a dirty signal on the bass though, so don't worry. We've always said you can either support us or get fucked. I do enjoy my own music very much. That's the way it should be, or else why should you play the shit? That's all I got haha! /Brian ARTERY ERUPTION |
Aversion To Life - Ritualized Murder
![]() Links: Myspace Website |
aversion to life is the new face of the texas scene but each member has some experience musically in other bands, emmitt the guitarist was in sintury and the rest of the members have careers in other bands i guess and kevin clark (ex devourment and ex sintury) was in the band as well and that's what first caught my attension about this band but he left the band cause of his religious beliefs but the current line up is solid and the band is still really skilled and has a lot of potential. this band mainly plays slammish parts so overall the band keeps the sound very groovy like dying fetus almost or even fellow txdm band prophecy while there slow parts remind me of old internal bleeding. they also use breakdowns sometimes that are definitely devourment styled and the vocals are low gutturals that are a bit similar to ruben of devourment so the take some bands elements and mix them up and create their own sound that you cant really compare to sintury cause aversion to life has more variety and patterns from slow to fast parts as opposed to sintury who mainly used breakdown and slams so aversion keeps the tired and true style of txdm but gives it a lil more enregy and life to make it sound somewhat different. the cd's cover art was done by mike majewski and i think this is one of his greatest pieces of art that he's ever done so far so if you are a huge fan of txdm and love devoument, sintury and etc then don't miss aversion to life.
